Sunway Mas Wan Ton Mee
Hi Folks,
Since our Computer guy Wong Soh Chong recommended this shop, I took a trip there.
Be prepared to wait for more than half an hour.
Bring your reading material or friends to wild away.
I got to eat 1st although the next table orderd 1st.
The lady boss got it wrong though she wrote in the book.
Mr Wong ( a nice man) , the wanton Mee seller re-heat the Siew Yoke & Pork Ribs before it was served to you. I find the Char Siew a bit salty but the Mee is springy and nice.
Check it out at
Sang Kee Stall, SFS 747 Kopitiam
31-1 Jalan PJS U1/3D
Sunway Mas Commercial Centre Block D
Petaling Jaya.
Its near Aman Suria

Fatty Aunty Char Koay Teow Kelana Jaya Section 5D/9 - 5D/12 Restoran Jamal Mohammed
Hi,
Had another interesting discovery behind FAM row of shop houses at Kelana Jaya.
Have you heard about a Fatty Aunty frying Char Koay Teow & very Muhibbah in Kelana Jaya?
You can hardly see a Chinese Char Koay Teow selling in a halal shop but this beats them all.
You can see her customers are mostly Muslims & if you think you like a different style of soggy without lard, Char Kaoy Teow, you can find it here.
I had a chat with her & she hails from Penang & has been frying for more than 30 years.
It seems she was chased off ( Just like Chan Meng Kee Wanton Mee) and when she found another shoplot, she brought along a few stalls with her.
There is another Kuching Laksa Mee in Taman Megah opposite the Food Court.
The taste is quite different from here . Its palatable.
Have a wonderful day

Siem Reap Preview
Stomach on Wheels in Siem Reap!
We went to a historical city in Siem Reap, Cambodia and stayed at Golden Temple Villa.
We tried a Cambodian dish called Amok dish and ran amok after that.
If you are in Angkor Wat, dont eat at the the stalls there as they slither your throat.
Penang Balik Pulau Durians
For Durian lovers, a trip to Titi Krawang stall in Balik Pulau in Penang should not be missed.
The old man selling the durians there will challenge you to a durian eating contest.
The challenge is if you are able to finish one durian seed from his special breed, you can eat all you can from his stall.
No phone number but location is the Balik Pulau road.
If you are coming from Batu Ferringhi, the stall is at the right hilly side.
So far nobody has won, he boasted.

Around Cheras and Shah Alam
Hi Folks
Well, sharing you some makan place and this morning, a friend took me to a Dim Sum Shop in Taman Midah, Cheras.
The shop is managed by a few Christians and they worship in True Jesus Church in Taman Midah which is at the back of their shop.
1) Tung Jing ( Dim Sum) Restaurant
The Dim Sum is not too bad and there is a specialty bun " Por Lor"(pineapple) pau which it is only available during public holiday & Sunday.
The shop close on Saturday as its their sabbath day.
In front of the shop, they grew a bougainvilla and as Chinese belief, bougainvilla is not good for business as it has thorns which will eat away the fortune and its flowers like a wagging tongue and wide mouth with vomit but as Christians, they dispelled that.
Check it out at 90, Jalan Midah1, Taman Midah, Kuala Lumpur
Tel : 03-91309978
2) Meng Kee Char Siew King ( Wong )
If you are in Shah Alam, head for Meng Kee Char Siew Wong, branch of Jalan Alor, Char Siew Wong
The lunch is crowded and full of people waiting to grab your seats.I couldnt wait but Tar Pau.
Find it at 20, Jalan Pekedai U1/36, Hicom Industrial Park 40150 Shah Alam
